Dont have the 109, and do not intend to get it, waiting on the Jug, but ....
BW and I were discussing it last night, I remember the Dora being that finicky too. Eventually found that if I left flaps at neutral, and never went to full throttle until after wheels up and stable, I had better luck. It was the only way I could get her airborne.
Is it possible the 109 is "too powerful", aka the Dora ? Just a thought.

Well, with this one, i'm not sure I went full throttle, might have after touching both wings cause I just said, heck with it, let's see if i can manage to get off the ground anyway. I actually find the 109 easier to keep the nose down when it wants to lift off, as opposed to when it should lift off. But yes, very similar in that they want to lift off at too low a speed and if you let them the left wing will dip straight down and you cartwheel. As for that video, my issue was that I was watching a video and that guy had full right aileron on, well you saw how well that served me but throttle wise, I don't think I've ever gotten anything to full throttle before take off. You have to be too smooth with the throttle to not over rev the things in the p-51 and it will seize up about a minute after take off just like in my video with the 109, so guess i did ram the throttle up on there after all.

I know it is, but you got it down. I like the "Holy crap I landed that"! I spend most of my Cliffs time in the Blennie. Come to think of it I may have climbed and bailed!

what you didn't see is immediately after the video cut off, was me getting lit up by a horch 108 that for some reason was hiding in the woods at the airfield ?!??!?. Just wait, once the next one is finished processing there is an even better surprise after I land lol.
