Flew with the Raiders tonight. Flew several sorties with bombs and a couple with torpedoes, Did not sink a damned thing. Not even sure about hits. But it was fun.
As a matter of fact, the only sucess I had, was on my last flight, and the only time I got a shot at a landing (trap ) I could not get my tail-hook down, I still need to do some more stick programming. Anyway, I lowered the flaps, slowed WAY down, and put her on the deck centerline, braked to a complete stop with room to spare. Shocked myself, and the guys from the Raiders seemed impressed.
But it was all fun.
BW, everyone missed you, many jokes about you "falling asleep", although it was mentioned that you might be working.
Looking forward to Thursday night, and everyone is updating to HSFX 7.0.2, you should be getting an email and the head guy is going to run the server a couple hours everyday so that people can check for connections. One guy is having the same exact problem I was having last week, and he was not happy about it.
Off to ROF now, after all the flying without so much as a good hit ( ? ) , I feel a need to blow something up.

Flew again last night with the Raiders. Had a really good time. I had 2 aircraft blow up in front of me, catching debris in the teeth, and once I did a boom and zoom, miscalcuated and caught our wings together. I died once when Zightz flew me into the ground. I could not shake him and eventually was just too low to recover from a stall. I did have several good kills though. The last time I saw the stats, I had 420 points, but "Yorktown" insisted that the last time he looked I had 520, so I am not going to argue the point. I think all in all I had a decent night, especially since I have not flown the F6F in a very long time, and I do not consider myself a fighter pilot. And I believe that the rest had a good time too. Yorktown said a couple of times that he was amazed that we managed to hold off all of the AI that the game threw at us, and we were very busy. And "Banshee" commented that it was good to have a group flying and working well together. I did chuckle a bit when Banshee asked about who was "shoulder shooting" only to discover that it was not shoulder shooting at all, but Zightz attacking him in a Zero. So all in all, I think it was a pretty good set of sorties, and I know I had alot of fun. The ole girl ( IL2 ) still has a lot of good game play left in her. BTW, I have found and tested several training and other types of campaigns that work well with HSFX 7. For anyone new to the game or just needs to scrape some of the rust off, you can not go wrong. If anyone is interested I will provide links. The first set is anything by Zeus-cat.over @ Mission4today. His "Straight From the Farm" series is great traing in the SDB. BTW, there is an updated version, check the M4T forums. You will have to join to download, but .... it is a great site for IL2 fans.
